What a Night it was...

In Jordi Fox’s short film we could see the positive impact of neurodiversity awareness in schools and the great work Sam Johnston has done in starting up S.P.a.R.K.s Thank you to everyone who make this event possible

What a night it was.... Write up from Joe Sommerville the photographer

I was honoured to be invited on Friday to capture photos of a music-filled fundraiser in aid of the @harris_trust
Taking to the @macartsscotland stage were @communityswimmingpool @3_outof_4 and @bfrabbit Not forgetting the SPARKS project supported by Billy and then Sam from 3 out of 4.

@communityswimmingpool

Brett of @communityswimmingpool was up first, firing the crowd up with breezy pop guitar and a mastery of a loop pedal that made Ed Sheeran look like a novice. He was also the owner of the most contagious grin!! A true delight and somebody I will definitely look to hear more of.

Billy kennedy from Frightened Rabbit

Next up was @frabbits Billy Kennedy, playing his first live performance in 5 years. Having lost his voice, Billy promised us with tongue firmly in cheek that he was going to do a Tom Waits or Rod Stewart inspired set. Billy took us through a sea of emotions in his set, with songs inspired by his experiences since losing Scott. There was quite rightly, a lot of love in the room for Billy. I hope it is the start of a new chapter for him and found it as healing as I did.

3 out of 4

3 out of 4 took us on a rip-roaring set with some truly impressive mastery of their instruments and synchronicity with one another. Most engaging however, was their confidence in holding the room and taking us all for a wild ride.

S.P.a.R.K.s Project

Last, but by no means least, were members of the SPARKS project who took to the stage with 3 out of 4 and Billy. They left their hearts and souls on stage. They most certainly sent the crowd home happy.

Thanks to Joe Sommerville for amazing photography of the event
