Friday 6th March 10-12.30pm at the Kingsknowes Hotel, Galashiels.



Harris Trust welcomes parents and carers to this event where Dr Joanne will give tips and advice and answer questions. This session will be particularly useful for parents and carers who have a child/ young person who is as yet undiagnosed or in the early stages of post-diagnosis. It will be a great opportunity to meet others and have a chat over coffee.





Dr Joanne Riordan is an independent Educational Psychologist, who specialises in neuro-affirming practice. Joanne works with families, schools, universities and organisations, to ensure neurodivergent young people thrive. Prior to this, Joanne was a teacher, who has educated every age phase from under 1s to well into adulthood, including in specialist provision. As well as Joanne’s professional experience, Joanne draws on her lived experience as a multiply neurodivergent individual and parent to neurodivergent children. Joanne is well respected within the Neurodiversity space, and was nominated in the National Diversity Awards 2022 and 2023 for her contribution to the field of Neurodiversity.
