This year's 10k event was the finale of our 'Who Cares Wins' Challenge to support others and share skills. There were those on the course this year who had taken this on and we think it added to the friendliness of the day. 98 runners and about as many walkers as well as plenty dogs took to the fields and tracks around Lilliesleaf in glorious sunshine! Dale Colley (Central Athletic Club) ran in first (42 minutes 7) and Anna Galbraith was first female (44mins 50).
The soup, bread and cakes vanished from the kitchen and the medal ceremony included 2 special prizes for Bodie Herning and Virginia Burbridge. We are grateful, as ever, to all the volunteers who helped make this a great day!
