We launched the ‘Who Care Wins’ challenge launched for 2023
to promote the Trust’s values of helping others and sharing skills.

Selkirk High School have taken the challenge on big time! and the Tweed, Ettrick and Yarrow houses are using the theme this academic year during interhouse activities to encourage acts of kindness and support for each other. Dave set up the ‘Back Road Bakers’ workshop in Lilliesleaf to teach neighbours how to make all kinds of bread. We’ve heard of young people sharing skills like teaching horse riding and helping neighbours with gardening. ‘Who cares wins’ was the theme for our Lilliesleaf 10k event this year and some participants managed to train for this event - running or walking - with the help of others.
